After lunch that day, we went to a park in the city where Viola saw her favorite animal - an elephant. The way she signs 'elephant' is by holding the back of her hand up to her nose and making a raspberry sound... she learned it from her father.
We went for a brief ride around the park, and discovered a whole family of monkeys on the other side who live and play just meters away from all the humans in the park. There was a big Wat on top of the hill that we visited as well.

We then made our way down to the water, and saw our friend the elephant being led home through traffic, which was a funny sight. We took a small boat out on the Mekong River (The river that seemed to wind through every single city we visited... It's absolutely gigantic) and saw Phnom Penh from a different vantage point. Lots of fisherman and their families were out on the water as the sun was setting.
That night we had a wonderful French-Cambodian dinner at a restaurant called Topaz, and experienced the most extreme example of 'Communication Breakdown' that plagued us throughout the trip when we tried to order items directly off the english menu and were met with completely blank stares. Weird.
