Chinese OG Buddy?

Ok, so I totally lied to my daughter and told her I turned off the camera. But I had to capture this performance of hers, even though she clearly doesn't like to be filmed, so most of it is from where she can't see me. I think the first words are 'Duckies are swimming in the water. They're trying to get home.' Her favorite stuffed animal is called OG Buddy, and I can't be sure, but I think the second song she sings is 'Chinese OG Buddy.' No idea where she got that.

Superdog

It was dress-up-as-your-favorite-superhero day at school, so we're making good use of V's dog costume.

Grandma time

Grandma Ann and Grandpa Mike came to the river after driving back from Providence and spent some time with V. Grandma gave her the first bath in the new tub! And they planted an herb garden.

River lounging

Hot summer days up at the river... water in her little boat, riding a big tractor, lounging in the new armchair, showing some sass in her sweatshirt, drawing with chalk on the fireplace, playing guitar and drums at the same time, and eating a huge strawberry ice cream cone all by herself!

Days with Dad and Unk

I was back east with my sister, so V spent some time with her dad and uncle nathaniel up at the river.

Strawberry-picking was on the menu, they went grocery shopping, had a big old turtle-shaped bread from Ghirardelli Square, went playing at the park, got some new frontier logs, decorated some big wood beams, got some new pink shoes, and of course brushed her teeth.

Hot river days

It was incredibly hot this weekend. Eric made her a new block set out of 2x4 remnants and she loves it. She built a whole house out of it. Our dinner is there sitting on a miniature preview of what the table will be that Eric and Mark designed.

While I moved our wood pile, V found a nice nook in a tree to sit and eat her mixed nuts. And Lola was caught in a rare moment of sleep in between her usual freakish ball behavior because she was so hot.
